Learn the Craft
Our cookery school is rooted in the oldest cooking tradition there is — fire. We teach you to work with a whole animal, understand every cut, and cook it the way it deserves: over live flame, with wood smoke, and without shortcuts.
Set in the Chiltern Hills above Henley-on-Thames, every class is small, hands-on, and ends with a proper feast. No passive demonstrations — you'll be at the fire from the start.

What We Offer
Full day · 9am – 5pm
Up to 12 guests
Start with a whole animal — learn to break it down from nose to tail with expert guidance, then cook every cut over live fire. From hanging legs over the asado cross to searing on the plancha, you'll leave with a deep understanding of the animal and the flame.
Half day · 10am – 2pm
Up to 16 guests
A hands-on introduction to live fire cooking. Learn to manage a wood fire, control heat zones, and cook a full seasonal menu — whole fish on cedar planks, hanging lamb, roasted vegetables, and a showstopper dessert — all over open flame.

From 6 to 30 guests
Tailored entirely to your group. Perfect for stag parties, hen dos, corporate away-days, or private celebrations. We design the session around your interests — butchery, whole-animal cookery, fire techniques, or a full feast experience.
